May 23-May 29 (ACTION ITEMS IN RED)
  1. ACTION ITEM: Fill-out and submit Practice Record 7 
  2. Practice the School Fight Song with the NEW RECORDED PRACTICE TRACKS for each individual instrument. You can find the practice tracks and Music at this link: fight-song--saints-go-marching-in.html  
  3. Be ready to video record yourself playing the fight song while listening to the practice track of the full band version on headphones or with earbuds. I will be compiling submissions into a virtual performance in the coming weeks.

  1. ACTION ITEM: Fill-out and submit SF HS Final Exam/Course Evaluation by Friday, May 22.+Form Attached Below

May 4-May 15 (ACTION ITEMS IN RED)
  1. ACTION ITEM: Fill-out and submit Practice Record 4 & 5 (May 11-15) 
  2. Practice playing the School Fight Song with a metronome set at 120. Music is attached under MARCHING Tab fight-song--saints-go-marching-in.html and Metronome is attached under RESOURCES tab metronome.html 
  3. Play your instrument as much as possible. Half an hour a day is best, but anything is better than nothing. 
    1. Warm up with long tones & brass instruments should go through the lip slur routine.
    2. Percussion (snare drum) should focus on Rudiments (Resource Tab-Fingering Charts) Double Stroke Rolls, Single & Double Paradiddle, Flams, Flam Tap, 16th Note Patterns, 5-9-17 Stroke Rolls.
    3. 4 Concert Scales (F-Bb-Eb-Ab) & Chromatic Scale (Resource Tab-Fingering Charts)  ​
​April 25-May 1 (ACTION ITEMS IN RED)
  1. ACTION ITEM: Fill-out and submit Practice Record 3 (April 25-May 1) +Form Attached Below
  2. ACTION ITEM: Go to the Marching tab & select the drop down tab-IDEAS for 2020 MB Show. Listen to the sound clips. Incoming Freshman through present Juniors submit selections through the Google Form. PLEASE HAVE THIS COMPLETED by Friday May 1.
  3. ACTION ITEM: Vote and Submit form SENIOR BAND AWARD SURVEY. PLEASE HAVE THIS COMPLETED by Friday May 1. +Form Attached Below Practice Record 3

I am a attaching a YouTube News Feature of the Roma HS Mariachi Band who has successfully pulled this off-more info to follow.
